In an effort to encourage the discussion of the issues of open space and the environment in the context of the upcoming Ridgefield elections, ROSA compiled a list of questions for candidates for the Board of Selectman and Planning & Zoning. No other elected Boards (such as Finance, Education, ZBA, etc.) were included, not because they are unimportant, but because many were uncontested races for positions on Boards with limited or no direct responsibility for the issues we chose to address in our Forum.

We hope that, through this Forum, and through the ROSA-sponsored First Selectmans' Debate on Open Space & the Environment (October 14th, 7:30 p.m., at the Ridgefield Library), the voters of Ridgefield will be encouraged to participate in the election and to make informed decisions regarding the Candidates' positions on some of the most important issues facing Ridgefield today.
